Family Hmm.. mmm

  • Family
    • Hmm….mmmm….
  • Family
    • Just the word brings forth emotions,
      • Memories and hopes for the future.
    • It is within family where life
      • Is experienced most intensely.
    • Within this group of folks you will
      • Have contact with for the rest of your days.
    • Acceptance, forgiveness. love,
      • All feelings are felt intensely.
    • Common history breeds familiarity.
      • They know you – You know them.
        • Not the image but
        • The real you beneath.
      • Under the cloak of the family.
        • There, all good and bad
        • Is remembered and shared.
      • With a bit of humor
        • Again and Again..
      • Hmm….mmmm….
        • Family

  • Just a peek underneath the covers of my huge family of aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, nieces, nephews, children, wife, ex-wife, ex-families. and others adopted as part of this family.  Family is the single place where you’re born with membership for the rest of your life.  Some may be mad at you today and tomorrow forgiven and back in good graces..  Dad had 13 brothers and sisters.  Mom had 3 siblings. So there was a lot of love to share.

Smile At Failures?

  • Smile at your failures
    • Can you smile at your failures?
    • Can you chuckle at your foibles?
      • It is easy when you are successful,
      • Much more difficult to be able to laugh.
    • However, I have found difficult situations
      • Are much easier to overcome or ride out
      • If it is done with a sense of humor.
    • Find a reason to chuckle once a day.
      • Make someone else laugh once a day.
    • Beside the obvious, making yourself
      • And someone else happy for a few moments.
    • These moments add up each day.
      • You will have more happy moments
      • Than sad moments to remember.
    • Thus making the end of your days happier!

  • I was considering end of life sadness and bitterness  as opposed to acceptance and even happiness that I have seen in family and friends.  It is very sad to see someone reach the end of life with bitterness and anger.  While it is almost joyful to see someone accepting and even happy at end of life.    Not taking yourself and perceived failures or successes too seriously provides a better balance.  Changing the focus of each day to be someone else rather than self seems to have a positive impact.

Lust, Ever Demanding!

  • Lust is ever demanding
    • More – More.
  • It is never satisfied
    • Or satisfying.
  • It is better to feel
    • The pain of denial.
  • Do not be fooled
    • To think – Just this once!
  • The demands get greater
    • And more risky.
  • The pain increasing
    • With each attempt to satisfy.

  • I do not remember what brought this out.  I think it is one of those “Ahhh – Haa’s” I want to capture.  It may not be everyone’s truth.  Lust is demanding, never satisfied, causes greater and greater pain if indulged beyond limits.    Anticipation provides the adrenalin.  Adrenalin provides the drug of addiction.   Specially nice for lovers. abhorrent beyond legal limits.
